ABOUT US ... & THIS SITE
The Parts Prospector is a small, two-person business located in North Idaho with the goal of providing you with a hassle-free opportunity to acquire the part you need at a substantial savings ... & providing first-class customer service.
Our site is nothing fancy ... it contains little more than the information you'll need to find the item you need - & it employs little of today's "fancy" technology ... but we've consciously designed it that way to keep things simple & our prices low.

ITEM CONDITION
The Parts Prospector sells items in four conditons.
* NEW SURPLUS (Factory Packaging) - An Unused Item In Its Original Factory Packaging.
* NEW SURPLUS - An Unused Item Missing Its Original Packaging (Usually Because It Was Purchased In Bulk).
* GENTLY USED - An Obviously Used Item But Which Is Still In Good, Serviceable Condition.
* AS FOUND - An Item The Condition Of Which We're Uncertain. (Explanatory Information Will Be Provided)
By their very nature as Surplus or Used items, please bear in mind that items may be an older series or style, may be weathered or discolored, may or may not come with manual(s) or other accessories normally supplied when buying Factory New items, & that the packaging may show from minimal to considerable shelf-wear or other defects.
The Parts Prospector does not sell any Factory New items.

ORDERING ITEMS
You may order items by either telephone or email.
If you wish to order an item by telephone you may call us at (208) 883-8535. Someone is normally available Monday through Friday from about 4:00 AM-11:00 AM (Pacific Time) and from 12:00 PM-8:00 PM (Pacific Time) to take your call (& weekends by chance). [Please note that we answer the phone only with a simple "Hello".]

PAYMENT METHODS
The Parts Prospector normally accepts the following forms of payment for most purchases.
* VISA / MasterCard / Discover
* Money Orders
* Business Or Personal Checks
* Bank Wire Transfer (For Payments Of $300 Or More Only)
The Parts Prospector reserves the right to require payment in a specific form at our discretion.
All prices quoted herein are in US Dollars (US $) and all payments must be made in US Dollars (US $).
For your protection, detailed payment instructions will be forwarded with your order confirmation.

PACKAGING & SHIPPING
The Parts Prospector makes every effort to package items to withstand all but the very worst shipping conditions to ensure that your part(s) arrive safely. A nominal handling fee is included in quoted shipping costs to offset this expense. For your further protection, we require that shipments of $10.00 or more be insured (& we strongly recommend insurance for shipments of less than $10.00) for, as provided for by law {UCC 2-509 (1) a}, the risk of loss or damage of items passes to the buyer at the time we deliver an item to a shipper for shipment.
The Parts Prospector ships worldwide using the least costly, yet most expeditious method available [generally, the US Postal Service for items weighing 3 pounds or less or that will fit in a Flat Rate box ... & FEDEX Ground for items weighing 4 pounds or more (certain exceptions apply, of course)].
Express shipment via USPS Express Mail or FedEx Express is available on request. [Please note, however, that due to our somewhat remote location (& the resultant USPS/FedEx cut-off times), our cut-off time for same day shipment is 11:00 AM.]
We normally ship Monday-Friday ... &, when circumstances permit, on Saturday.
The Parts Prospector gladly combines items to save you on shipping costs should you be interested in more than one item.

WARRANTIES & RETURNS
The Parts Prospector is not licensed or sanctioned by any manufacturer & is not a party to any manufacturer's warranty that may or may not apply.
The Parts Prospector warrants only that the item will be as described ... & no other warranties, either expressed or implied, are made. We specifically disclaim any warranty of merchantability or fitness of an item for a particular purpose. Under no circumstances shall we be liable for any damages, except actual damages in the amount paid for the item, nor shall we be liable for any consequential or indirect damages or losses. [If a "standard" manufacturer's warranty is important to you for it's protections we suggest you purchase a Factory New item from another vendor.]
While we make every effort to describe each item as accurately and thoroughly as possible, occasionally we do miss something we shouldn't have. If an item is not as described, you may return it within seven (7) days of receipt for a full refund of your purchase price. We do not accept returns based on date of manufacture, cosmetic condition of product or packaging, or lack of suitability for your purposes.

PRIVACY POLICY
The Parts Prospector values your trust. Any information we gather about you will be used expressly for one purpose, & one purpose only ... serving you. We will not disclose your personal information to any one ... ever ... for any reason (except, of course, as required by law or when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights &/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on us).
Further, we follow generally accepted industry standards to protect any sensitive personal information you may submit to us. Any such information you may submit to us is encrypted using 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology during transmission, is deleted from our Secure Server as soon as processed, & is not stored by us in any electronic format.
Finally, we will not, under any circumstances, bombard you with spam.

All that said, here's what we currently have to offer. While we make every effort to keep this site up-to-date, all items are subject to prior sale.
